Job Purpose

Responsible for the development and performance of Sales Representative activities in assigned market. Directs a sales team
and provides leadership towards the achievement of maximum profitability and growth in line with company vision and values.
Achieves maximum sales profitability, growth and account penetration within an assigned territory and/or market segment by
effectively selling the company’s products and/or related services.

Minimum Requirements

1. Matric with maths and science.
2. Diploma in Sales / Marketing.
3. 5 years’ experience in electronic sales, with two years at senior level – preferably the
mining industry.
4. Computer literate (MS Office package).
5. Knowledge of budgeting principles.
6. Product line management experience

Responsibilities

Lead

  • Adheres to all company policies, procedures and business ethics codes and ensures that they are communicated and
    implemented within the team.

Sales

  • Responsible for selling and managing company products, services and solutions to customers within a specific geographic territory.
  • Meeting and maintaining sales budgets, including Nett profit.
  • Identifying sales & Service opportunities
  • Negotiating and closing sales & service deals.
  • Make telephone calls and in-person visits and presentations to existing and prospective customers
  • Answering of technical questions from potential and existing customers
  • Establishes, develops and maintains relationships with existing and prospective customers.
  • Provide timely, accurate, competitive pricing on all completed prospects & applications submitted for pricing and approval, while striving to maintain
    maximum profit margin
  • Resolve customer problems and complaints.
  • Customer and stakeholder satisfaction.
  • Identify product improvements or new products by remaining current on industry trends.
  • Maintain quality service by establishing and enforcing organization standards.
  • Attending trade shows and conferences and providing feedback on new products, pricing and market conditions.
  • Coordinates sales effort with marketing, sales management, accounting, logistics and technical service groups.

Administration

  • Develops a business plan and sales strategy for the market that ensures attainment of company sales goals and profitability in conjunction with the technical coordinator and RAM.
  • Prepares action plans by individuals as well as by team for effective search of sales leads and prospects.
  • Initiates and coordinates development of action plans to enter new markets.
  • Develop annual budget in conjunction with Technical coordinator and RAM.
  • Controls expenses to meet budget guidelines
  • Meeting and maintaining sales budget.
  • Preparing and presenting bids and quotations that meet specific customer expectations and project.
  • Approving of sales bids and quotations before submitting to customer.
  • Maintain accurate records of all invoiced sales, payments and commission for the department.
  • Scheduling of visits or meetings with customers within designated sales territory.
  • Collecting information about the customer to assist in the development of marketing plans and sales strategies.
  • Researching on a regular basis the industry trends, competitors in the market and knowledge of target customers.
  • Compiling and submitting of monthly reports to relevant departments/Managers.
  • Maintaining a database of information for sales prospects and existing customers.
